Punta Cana, Caribbean

Simplicity, Luxury and Romance

Punta Cana is wonderful for beach lovers; those who intend to spend their time lazing in the sand and the sea. My favorite thing to do is just walk the expansive white powdery shoreline, sightseeing. When I get hot, I drop my bag and dive into the ocean, swim around, return to the beach, pick up my bag, and I'm off again.

Sprawling all-inclusive mega-resorts line the coastline; rich in vegetation and dotted with swaying palms.

Punta Cana is a tourist destination with several attractions. The 40-mile stretch of coast where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic is largely unspoilt. Attractions in and around Punta Cana include the Manati Park ( www.manatipark.com), with its performing dolphins and sea lions, and an authentic replica of an ancient Taino Indian village.

Punta Cana is terrific for couples wanting simplicity, luxury and romance.
